A Dialogue Between the Soul and Body is a poem by the English metaphysical writer Andrew Marvell that describes a state of conflict between these dual aspects of human existence. Each blames the other for binding it inextricably to the hardships of life. This album's Dublin-based producer found fuzzy, repetative riffs of black metal-inspired aural grievance to be the ideal way to convey the prolonged experience of forming a relationship with the poem's timeless sense of entrapment by our aching fetters of arteries and veins. The music was mainly recorded in 2009, but ultimately was abandoned pending completion of its fourth stanza.
