This song explores the act of colonisation as applied to Australia and is the result of conversations with the indigenous people I have had the privilege of meeting during my travels there. Living In The Land Of The Dispossessed In the time before time when the earth was soft The world was born in the Dreamtime days. The Creators gave it shape and form, Our language, laws and ways. Our Country held us close from birth Our Storyline taught us its worth No written word, connection strong, Through myth, through dance and song.
