Crooked Oak - EP

Tales of the folklore and characters from the upper Derwent Valley region of north west Durham have surrounded me from an early age and given my interest in folk and traditional music it seemed natural that I would recount these tales in song. The characters may be gone and the places, although still there, may have changed but their memory lingers on. Real lives and events are easily forgotten but the future is built on the past and a sense of community can't fail to be enriched by a knowledge of what went before.
