The Dream

'I laid me down in that place to sleep and as i slept I dreamed a dream.' How do you know when you're awake and when you're asleep? I don't know, so I wrote a whole album about it. The Dream is a collection of songs about the internal life of a parent. Worries, imaginings, joy, grief, holidays, ghosts, bumper cars. It all feels like one big long dream and who knows if we'll ever wake up. The whole album is recorded with live instruments - guitar, piano, drums, bass, a little colour from a Prophet synth here or there. It's got absolutely nothing to do with what is going on in the world right now. Just me in my back garden transcribing my imagination through music.
