This album was written, produced, recorded, and mixed entirely by me. It wasn’t meant to be that way, but sickness and a lot of unforeseen events made it so. In the end, I’ve created something I’m deeply proud of. I’m proud of my gifts, my curiosity, and my willingness to learn on the fly—but most of all, I’m proud of my family. This record is a sister album to my first, …And You Choose Not to Laugh. That one was about the child I never met; this one is about the child I feel I’ve always known—Connie.
