Dancehall Blues

This was all initially created for the Coicceim Dance Theatre show of the same name. Originally set in their Dublin studio, a beautiful old Victorian factory building, the show starts off completely draped in black serge. Our two interlopers emerge in hazmat suits, we do not know what has happened, who they are, what they are running from, even what their relationship is to each other. "In Side" by Plastikman plays as they enter, their movements suggesting some sort of military discipline. A large mirrorball drops into the centre of the room accompanied by Orwellian warnings of the state of humanity..
