Slaughter Lord originally formed in May 1985 under the name Onslaught but changed the band moniker shortly afterwards due to the English band of the same name. In the mid 80s, when extreme, harsh, brutal death and thrash metal was emerging, Slaughter Lord laid down one of the most ferocious demos in the underground ever heard. The three track 'Taste Of Blood' demo was released in December 86 and circulated through the worldwide underground all the way from the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. Testament to this are the thanks Slaughter Lord gets on Bathory's 'Under The Sign of the Black Mark', Assassin's 'The Upcoming Terror' and Sepultura's 'Schizophrenia'.
