Thiar

THIAR [hiəɾɣ] (pronounced like the word “here”/“hear”) is the Gaeilge word for West. This EP is a collage of sounds recorded during a residency on the island of Inis Oirr; the smallest of the Aran Islands off the coast of Galway. THIAR also features heritage/archival recordings. The album credits detail the samples of Sean-nós singing, poetry, and keening sampled in this EP.
