Back and Forth is a vibrant collection of traditional and contemporary fiddle music, shaped by the tunes I’ve carried with me since childhood and the influences I absorbed at sessions and festivals in Ireland, and during my years in Glasgow. The album moves between punchy reels, driving jigs and more reflective moments of melody, celebrating the ebb and flow of musical life between Ireland and Scotland. I’m joined by three outstanding musicians - Michael Biggins on piano, Innes White on guitar and Andrew Waite on accordion - whose lift, rhythm and sensitivity bring the arrangements to life.
