Underground

Underground is the debut EP from Genus. I've been releasing singles throughout 2021 and decided to make a collection of my favourites, as well as a brand new song! I've experimented throughout these tracks both musically and lyrically, using cassette tape loops, hardware FM drum machines and lyric writing using stream of consciousness. The result is a mixed collection of emotions. From the beat heavy, anti-society "Binary", the dark and atmospheric "Bleak" and of course, the melancholic and dreamy title track "Underground". I am happy to mark 2021 with this release at the end of the year. I hope you enjoy this, the money from purchases will go towards recording a full length LP in 2022.
