Folklore continues Ireland’s oldest tradition, oral storytelling, reimagined in the modern landscape of the 2000s to 2010s drug trade. Structured around the seven Catholic sacraments, each track marks a ritual stage in a cycle of life, choice, and consequence. These songs reflect raw lived experience, tracing a journey through entry, commitment, reflection, conflict, and final reckoning. No sentimentality or redemption, only the pattern of reality, told in a form as old as the land itself. The EP draws on the vivid, rhythmic style of the seanchaithe, the storytellers of Irish folklore, whose tales blurred myth and history.
