I don't think any of us expected to start jamming, I felt the urge to first capture the tonally challenged piano and signal from the pedals as well as any person with a mic may be inclined to, then I plugged in my synth after being inspired by the beautiful textures created by Gabriela's playing and the delay-sample magic pedal. Later on Simon decided to join in as well with his Victor Wooten-esque melodic bass playing.
