Dublin based experimentalist and percussion maestro Jamie Davis returns as ddrome for another intriguing single: “Spider Temple”. The 20 minute title track unfolds like a ritual in a forest amphitheater, shimmering cymbal-work and otherworldly fireworks, flitting at intervals into the soundtrack from another planet's version of a 1960's "whodunnit?" TV show, and then back again. The slightly more upbeat "On the Way to Almost Crossing the Bridge of Understanding", places us in a sound collage of fluttering loops, vocal anomalies and intentionally hiccupping rhythm. A dream like trance-inducing beaut. Joining ddrome is a bonus remix from FES veteran The Last Sound.
