Sonic Dark Goya

Inspired by and dedicated to Francisco de Goya’s ‘dark oeuvre’ (his outstanding series of etchings ‘Caprichos’, ‘The Disasters of War’ and ‘Disparates’, as well as his most famous ‘Black Paintings’), which he created in the period of late 18th century - early 19th century, when he was already completely deaf. Created at ‘Hundred Islands Studios’ (Rosclave enclave) in 2025. Commissioned for the event Europalia-España (Belgium, 2025-2026), in connection with the exhibition ‘Luz y Sombra: Goya and Spanish Realism’, presented at Bozar (Brussels, October 2025 – January 2026).
