Abducted Recorders [Cambodia & Sardinia]

Unlike photo cameras or smartphones, handheld audio recorders are unknown and sort of bewildering to most people. 01: Phnom Penh, Cambodia, March 2013. A gated hotel with gardens and security staff. Right before dawn I left a running handheld recorder in the adjacent room’s private seating area outdoors. When I came out in the morning, it was gone. The hotel management checked their security cameras and discovered that in fact one of the night guards surreptitiously took it and left with it. I eventually got it back and it had a recording of this event.
