The Given Moment

Fletina is a Scottish sound artist & field recordist who creates raw abstract audio collages using found objects, room sounds, environmental noises, household items, mechanical devices and various electronic manipulation techniques. 'The Given Moment' is comprised of two similarly-structured pieces. Combinations of concrete sounds place the listener in an environment that seems tangible but enigmatic and subtly wrong, with elements gradually accumulating amid growing intensity. The listening experience becomes a process of attempting to resolve familiar and unfamiliar cues into a logical whole that remains elusive.
