Office Metal Baroque

Office Metal Baroque is a "suite" of sonic glitch dub that interrogates the strange choreography of ‘’office life’’ through an ironic lens of Romantic era 19th-century dance patterns. The basis of these tracks was composed while actually in the office, in my day job as a journalist in Athens, after finding, by mistake, algorithms that can imitate the rhythm of each particular dance. Afterwards, in the studio, I used heavily modulated synthesis — granular, feral, insectile, metallic — for the sound to reanimate cubicles as dueling fields, fluorescent ceilings as chandeliers, and spreadsheets as cryptic choreographic notation.
