New York born, Zürich based Jason Kahn and Saint Petersburg's Ilia Belorukov are both improv veterans who boast the staggering cast of collaborators that goes with the territory. Though perhaps more often associated with percussion and saxophone respectively, their duo explores a harsh, austere palette of voice and modular synth. Live Album is the self-explanatory counterpart to the studio sessions released last year on Kingston, NY label Notice Recordings, and features a set recorded in each of their current home cities.
