Anton Ponomarev & Ryoko Ono

Cassettes & digital now available at ponomarev.bandcamp.com/album/ap-ro Saxophonists Anton Ponomarev (currently based in Zurich) and Ryoko Ono (Nagoya, Japan) are both prolific and eclectic collaborators who share a tendency to augment fiery free alto playing with electronics. Ponomarev currently plays in Ponomarev-Obrazeena MASSACRE (soon to release a collaboration with Merzbow and Alex Buess from 16-17), TEUFELSKELLER (debut release soon on WV Sorcerer productions), Catatonic Leisure, and the legendary Pussy Riot. Ryoko Ono may be best known as half of prog/jazz duo Sax Ruins (with Tatsuya Yoshida), and is a member of avant-metal band Plastic Dogs.
