A birch forest seen, imagined, and remembered

Ergodos is proud to announce the release on 6 March 2026 of "A birch forest seen, imagined, and remembered", an EP-length solo piano suite by Caterina Schembri, performed by Máire Carroll. A meditation on the passing of time, this three-movement work holds the listener in three distinct contemplative spaces. Sumptuous musical material unfolds, unhurried. We are invited and then immersed. This is a work of generosity; it offers revelations as rich as they are gentle. Such artistic spirit belies an incredible precision of compositional craft, an exquisite sense of balance, proportion and timing.
