I can hear it through the wires

"I can hear it through the wires" could be a soundtrack to a Harry Dean Stanton film that never existed. While I was recording it and making the accompanying video, I was thinking of things like the significance of electricity in the late David Lynch's work, including "Twin Peaks - The Return". I was thinking about Wim Wenders' "Paris Texas", of Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman, of John Lee Hooker's hypnotic, mesmerising, foot tapping trance blues, of meditation, of rise and fall, breath in, breath out, of decay, of old electrical equipment left exposed to the elements, corroding and rusting in rain and the salty air.
