Phase Change

Phase Change is a compilation of electroacoustic music created by Ed Devane in 2010. Made up of hundreds of sounds created over the years in sound design sessions, Phase Change represents a side of Devane's music hinted at on his electronic / beat releases on the likes of Mantrap, Touchin' Bass and Takeover. Using experimental sounds created using a variety of non-standard processes and instruments, Devane creates a mood of suspense and tension, with occasional oases of calm and consonance. These recordings, as with the bulk of Devane's music, are best experienced in the dark and at volume - headphones listening will bring best results for the stereo elements of the compositions.
