On their debut release for East Wall, Saltings deliver Uplands. Consisting of two mind-melting, hallucinatory electroacoustic pieces, Saltings devours the realms of folk, industrial and electronic music and regurgitates a spew of dizzying textures and rhythms to delightful avant-garde effect. Throughout, Uplands fizzes and flows through a vast tonal palette that is at once welcoming in its deployment of pastoral, kaleidoscopic collage only to become unnerving in its unpredictable shifts towards the monstrous and dystopian. A totemic piece of work that we are massively delighted to release.
