Chunk

Chunk is the striking debut album from Ireland/Belgian-based avant-jazz / experimental improv duo – Insufficient Funs, which follows their eponymous EP, released a mere ten years previous. Featuring the instrumental virtuosity of Matthew Jacobson (drums) and Sam Comerford (bass saxophone), Chunk is an adventurous exploration of improvisation, groove, texture, and form – set for release via Dublin-based label Diatribe Records. Named thus because they feel that there is a shortage of fun in the musical eco-system, Insufficient Funs make up for that deficit in their own, oblique, insistent way.
