Two takes of a single piece by Irish electronic musician/visual artist Dennis McNulty, who has long been a presence on the Dublin scene. These recordings were made at two different locations in São Paulo, Brazil during the 2004 Bienal the first inside a parabolic concrete swimming pool, the second under a large concrete roof structure. The piece itself is an improvisation using prerecorded shards of an a cappella version of The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds song "That's Not Me". And while you'd probably guess this cassette was recorded in some echoey place, The Beach Boys connection is not as sonically obvious as you'd imagine.
