Chimpancé / Civil Protection — eight hardcore punk tracks shared between the old legends of Móstoles hardcore and the not-so-young kids of Madrid punk. The release brings together two bands that come from the same mud, but from different places. More than just a collaboration, this split works as a crossover between generations. Chimpancé fire from the rawness of classic hardcore: short, direct, and emotional songs, made with the urgency of those who don’t need to dress things up for them to hurt. Civil Protection, on the other hand, aim at everyday collapse and the need to move forward like a steamroller when everything seems designed to slow you down.
