Dreams and Other Certainties

Sometimes wistful, sometimes boisterous, this album is a bit like a collection of dream segments captured in sound, with the surprises and odd turns a dream often takes. It starts out with a traditional sounding melody played on an electric guitar, with backing from synth and pipes and drums and moves through a variety of styles, experimental, classical, techno, rock, cinematic, fusion, and probably more I can't identify. It's great. At times foot-tapping, straight-ahead tonal, it shifts into dissonant, harmonic washes, sometimes light-hearted, sometimes like a soundtrack from a horror film.
