Downstairs Groove EP

The ep starts with downstairs groove, an odd, dark and lopsided claustrophobic house grinder. A nod to small basement club vibes, and what you find down the stairs in Glasgow and points west. Next is distant signal... deeper, spacier, more melancholy. Cut loose from the kick, a pulsing bass just about holds the track down, whilst spiralling synths frame a melody that is draped like a floating glass tent. A tale of increasing distance, space, and one way journeys. The flip side launches into edge damage, splitting the difference from the a-side - a strident, knocking house groove breaking ground for the solid held bassline.
