Dark Éire (the sounds of) are a collective of solo artists (and occasional collaborators) all practising and performing in Ireland and all concerned with the underlying darkness that persists, prevails and is so characteristic of this grey island we call home. Working beneath this common shroud each collective member presents here a sample of their own bleak work, all unique in style yet all still bound together and weighed down by the same black chains of 'Irishness'. From ancient sermons to contemporary nightmares, and from hypnotic-mysticism to self-loathing laments, in this dark era we live in we present to you our DARK ÉIRE.
