The Memory Room

The Memory Room book features texts by Danny McCarthy alongside images from his past and from The Memory Room installation at Hilltown New Music festival. The book has a hand stitched red coloured binding and is interleaved with printed tracing paper. There is also a 3" CD featuring a stereo version of the work. The Memory Room is a project by the Cork-based multimedia artist Danny McCarthy, whose pioneering art practice explores a combination of visual and auditory experiences. This new work consists of an ongoing series of installations in conjunction with a new book and CD published by the Irish sound-art label Farpoint Recordings.
