An Taobh Thall [Skratch Music]

Skratch music is for sure an extremely niche sub-culture! That said, when used as an instrument, the turntable opens up an expansive world of musical possibilities and as an instrument, is appropriate in almost any modern genre.....(full waxin lyrical write-up b/w album dl) This album is a brief look into how I approach and combine turntablism and scratching. I use a Vestax QFO le turntable in conjunction with an MPD 24, FX modules, and a Boss 505 MK1 looping module to make what I would call Skratch Music. I don't use DVS, so it's more or less an analog set-up.
