The Hound of Boann

We are Dabilla. We are two musicians from Drogheda, Co. Louth: Ireland. a town that sits east of the ancient Boyne Valley, an area steeped in medieval architecture, history, and folklore. The inspiration Irish mythology tells us how Drogheda came to be. The goddess Boann and her loyal hound, Dabilla, created the Boyne River on which the town is built. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Boann found the forbidden Well of Segais, a source of great magic and wisdom. Having disrespected this great power, the waters surged violently, rushing toward the sea and carved the path of the Boyne River.
