A year or so after the extraordinary experiment – Da Whole Thing @ Version City – that took place under the auspices of Stubborn Records in 1997 – 98 and which resulted in the birth of a new subgenre Ska Noire, the eclectic New York supergroup assembled again, this time in a fully equipped 24 track analog facility, to record its second album Tooth. Tooth is a concept album. Its 13 tracks reflect the frenetic pulse of life in New York at the turn of the century against the backdrop of the impending Y2K (remember what a sham that was).
