Free State

To celebrate 13 years of Crash Ensemble’s Free State initiative which showcased a vast range of composers over its lifetime, we are delighted to launch our new Free State compilation album. This eclectic mix of music represents the essence of Free State and is released today on Crash Records. Free State began life as an open call and annual concert of the most vibrant new music Ireland has to offer by up-and-coming Irish composers or composers resident in Ireland, showcasing their current practice and existing works. In the last 3 years it developed into a project in which we co-commissioned new work with New Music Dublin through open-submission entries.
