Uplifted

The Happening were formed in 2014 as a celebration of my recovery from a life threatening illness. The joy of being given a second chance prompted many songs of hope and uplift. I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks for this new life. Beginning as a a duo with master percussionist Manu Song, it soon blossomed into a four piece with the addition of Hereford songbirds Alison and Bella. It wasn't long before Jazz and blues bassist Robin Wayne and the rocking Dr Max Nichols on guitar filled out the sound. While the thoughtful piano playing of Simon Hamilton and soulful drummer Gabriel Henning completed the line-up.
