These are songs in a work in progress called 'Shey, And The Messiah That Never Came'. A Rock Opera about Shey, a twenty-year old gender fluid daughter of delusional abusive father and evangelical mother, who increasingly turns to drugs to dull her inner pain and escape an outer world being rapidly destroyed by corporate greed. When one drug trip too far, leaves her beyond medical help, she ‘Sees The Light’, awakes’ to an epiphany and returns reborn, with a message of hope and self-empowerment for the world. Her story goes viral leaving her unwillingly hailed by millions as the new Messiah.
