Classic Hiss: Boreens & Backroads

Classic Hiss is proud to present ‘Classic Hiss: Boreens & Backroads’ — a compilation of covers of songs by Pavement, Silver Jews, David Berman, and Gary Young, reimagined by a cross-section of Irish underground artists. This is Volume 1 of a two-part project, featuring 14 acts from across Ireland’s DIY and independent scenes. A second volume with 16 more artists will follow later this year. Why this record exists - We are horrified by the ongoing situation in Gaza. Money raised from ‘Boreens & Backroads’ will go directly to Palestinian aid organisations and legal aid for activism. Proof of donations will be posted publicly. Music doesn’t change the world on its own, but solidarity matters.
