A Wedding of Mystics

Two works of contemporary classical music, Celtic Spring (tracks 1 - 5) and Transformation (tracks 6 - 9), come together to form one theme: the journey to mystical union with the Divine. I've used the Shakuhachi to drive the first 5 tracks as it is an oriental instrument that produces 'mystical' tones. All the stages of the first part of the mystical journey are in Celtic Spring, culminating in Towards the Beloved, an almost Bach-like baroque piano piece accompanied by lush strings and Irish bodhrán.
