Shepherds

Shepherds is an album of the music I grew up with, tunes from my early days as a pupil of The Armagh Pipers Club. Tunes I picked up from my mentors and musical heroes Brian and Eithne Vallely. Others that the brightest stars of Irish Traditional flute and whistle playing, Matt Molloy and Mary Bergin had recorded. And others still that just found the spot, through sessions, or from fellow players and composers! What they and all great compositions have in common, is the transformative power to change through the ceremony of listening. They are both a call to our humanity and keys to deep tributaries. Each tune in this collection guided me deeper into music and imprinted itself into my story.
