New Moon

The songs on this EP were written during a time of deep introspection. Over most of the last two years the only place I have had to play music is alone in my kitchen. During that time lots of transformations took place within me. This is reflected in the stylistic concepts that come to fruition on this EP; the use of extended harmonies, the culmination of my years of experimenting with a bagpipe-style drone, and the wider melodic lines making use of my falsetto vocal range. The recording of this EP took place when the moon was new in the sign of Cancer on 7/09/21, including when it was exact at 6:16PM PDT (pretty sure I was working on the first track at that time).
