From Hear&Say 2019 Festival program: Rest for a while in a Kilfinane Garden. Over time the birds get used to your prescence, alarm calls changing to song. The sounds of the local environment are familiar, relaxing. But there are other sounds here ..... Based on recordings from the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, this long-duration composition introduces alien audio elements through surround sound with the local sound-environment. Giving rise to contemplation of topics such as immigration, invasion, confusion and interconnectivity, the listener directs their own experience of what they are hearing.
