It is a musical reflection on the journey of the boy Minik, the ‘New York Eskimo’, and of the ‘Woman hurled from the sky’. THE TRUE STORY OF MINIK: In the 1890s a group of American explorers befriended a Polar Inuit community, living in Qaanaaq in Greenland.
