According to Celtic Mythology, Uaithne was the name of the enchanted harp belonging to the Dagda, king of The Tuatha Dé Dannan. It was said Uaithne could only be played by the Dagda and that great power and strength was brought to him by playing it. Uaithne could influence emotions, command supernatural forces, and even help maintain the proper order of the seasons while connecting the mortal and divine worlds. It also has meaning for harmony and concord in music. This album is a collection of my own compositions, written over the course of 2 years (apart from track 12). There are tunes written about people who have passed on & tunes imagining people I haven't met.
