The Eyewall

The PC Alan Godfrey mystery is one of the most famous UFO and "missing time" cases in British history, centered on events that occurred in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in 1980. In the early morning of November 28, 1980, while on patrol looking for missing cattle, PC Godfrey encountered a large, diamond-shaped object hovering about five feet above the road. He described the craft as being roughly 20 feet wide with a spinning bottom half. When he tried to call for backup, his radio failed, so he began sketching the object in his notebook. Suddenly, a flash of light occurred, and he found himself 100 yards further down the road with the object gone.
