Acko the former front man from 90’s Dublin outfit Grasshopper returns on the 24th of April with his new single “The Lonely Cafe”. Taken from his forthcoming album “Before and Then” which will be the first of two albums that Acko plans to release in 2026. The album will deal mostly with the immediate aftermath of the tragic loss of Acko’s eldest daughter Sita in 2024. “Before she passed away Sita worked in the coolest coffee shop in Enniscorthy where we live” says Acko “In the weeks afterwards my wife Annie and I found ourselves spending a lot of time there” Acko is joined by his long time collaborators Noel Quaid on Bass and Iain King on Guitar.
