49th & Main are kicking off the new year with their high-energy new single, “LIVE 4 THE WEEKEND,” out now on Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records. Despite the title, the narrator in the chorus initially expresses a reluctance to live for the weekend. However, the track's infectious four-to-the-floor beat and vibrant piano stabs ultimately take over. Speaking on the new single, the duo say, “We started the idea for this song after a heavy weekend in London. In Ireland we often judge how good of a night we’ve had by how hungover we are the following morning, and let’s just say we had a great night.
